Registration and data upload

Registration

  1. Only registered users can upload data to the Otis tarda Online.
  2. Personal data submitted during registration are not available for others (except the administrators of the database).
  3. To be able to add new data, first you need to log in using your user name and password.
  4. The administrators of the database maintain the right to delete the registration and all observations of those who submit invalid data.

Data upload

  1. Prior to uploading the first observations, please study the Instructions and additional information available on the forms during the data upload (+ Introduction to data upload).
  2. It is important to fill in all obligatory fields, otherwise you will not able to complete the data upload process.
  3. The submitted data and images remain the exclusive property of the observer or the photorapher. They cannot be transferred to third parties and can be only used with prior agreement of the observer or the photorapher.
  4. The user is responsible for the validity of the data uploaded into the Otis tarda Online database.
  5. If you upload data or photos of others, please provide the name of the observer(s) and obtain their consent. The user remain responsible for any legal consequences of failing to do so.
  6. If you recognise any error in your data, please modify or delete the incorrect information!
  7. To ensure the protection of the species, other users, except the respective national coordinators, will be not able to see the exact location of the observation.
  8. The administrators of the database maintain the right to delete any invalid data or image immediately.
